This is an early romantic composition plaque (could be gutta-percha) of a young couple embracing. There are trees and foliage encircling the outer edge. In the background are riders on horseback. There is a signature, but it is hard to read. It looks like A. or H. Scb(or h)uereimrk I think. This measures approximately 5" in diameter. There is a brass or bronze ring around the edge approximately 3/4" thick. Perfect for adding a romantic touch to any room. |
